Our Web site has two distinct sections, and both are equally meaningful to members. The CHAMBER INFORMATION section is designed primarily to assist members in taking advantage of their Chamber membership and the opportunities the Chamber provides to help them grow their business and do business with other members.

The COMMUNITY INFORMATION section is just as important. Since the Chamber is known as a reliable source for accurate, up-to-date community and business information, Internet users will turn to our Chamber’s redesigned and improved Web site for information.

Based on research, we anticipate that the primary visitors to our Chamber’s Web site will be people who are visiting the Worthington area or are considering moving their family or business to our community. Others likely to visit our site are those who are new to the community or have lived or worked here for years and are highly involved in the life of the community. Our Web site offers the ideal site for visibility and serves as a direct link between our members and these key markets. Our goal is to connect our Web site visitors, who have the need for products and services, to your business and Web site.

How will our Web site help bring business to you?
Our Membership Directory and Business Directory are easily searchable to help visitors find your business or the products of services that your company offers. If visitors know the name of the business they are looking for, they can enter the name in the “Name” box. If they are looking for a type of business, they can use the Category/Keyword box or List all Categories. It’s easy and fast to make connections to your listing in these directories.

A part of your member benefits, your directory listing will include free of charge a hyperlink connection direct to your own Web site and an undisclosed e-mail link, which will facilitate communication between you and your potential client or customer, but also ensure your privacy.

In addition, in the COMMUNITY INFORMATION section of our Web site, content will be associated with keywords or categories of businesses in our Membership Directory and Business Directory that are related to this information. For example, on the pages covering places for visitors to see in Worthington, keywords or categories of businesses such as Lodging, Things to See and Do, Food and Dining, Shopping and Conference Services will be listed.

This joining of information and directory categories will make it easy and convenient for visitors to find members and take advantage of the products and services they provide.

What can you do to enhance the presence of your company on our Web site?
There are a number of features that you can add to your Internet business directory listing to bring greater attention to your company. These include: a highlighted box, map icon, logo or photo insertion, a 50-word description about your business, a keyword search feature and additional category listings. Community Calendar

You can expand your involvement with other members and visitors to the chamber’s Web site by posting your company’s special events on our Community Calendar of Events. While the chamber has its own Chamber Calendar of Events to keep you informed about activities to support you and your business, this special feature on our Web site allows you to post your own events or activities, such as an open house, ribbon-cutting ceremony, special sale, educational seminar, product innovation announcement or celebrity visit.
